About the hotel
A distinctive Grade ii listed Georgian hotel, ideally located just 3 minutes walk from Stratford upon Avon. The Best Western Grosvenor prides itself on its friendly and efficient service in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
The hotel is ideally located in the historic market town of Stratford-upon- Avon and favourably situated for all the local attractions which include Shakespeare's Birthplace, the three Royal Shakespeare Company Theatres, the gardens by the River Avon, Ragley Hall & Warwick Castle. The delightfully rambling ground floor has tremendous character with its small, intimate lounges and open fires which match the area's Shakespearean past. The Grosvenor Hotel is easily accessible by road and Birmingham's National Exhibition Centre and Arena are only half an hour away by car. Unfortunately, the hotel does not have a lift.

Murder Mystery Weekend more info
A 2-night stay with dinner, bed and breakfast. Each weekend is themed; please contact the hotel for further information. The entertainment will commence at 19:30 on the Friday, continuing throughout Saturday and Sunday. There will be plenty of free time to discover the historic Shakespearean town. Weekends are not suitable for anyone under 16 years old. The Murder Mystery weekends are on the following dates: 18-20 July 2008; 29-31 August 2008; 5-7 September 2008; 19-21 September 2008; 3-5 October 2008; 17-19 October 2008; 31 October-2 November 2008; 21-23 November 2008; 28-30 November 2008; 5-7 December 2008; 12-14 December 2008; 19-21 December 2008; 9-11 January 2009; 23-25 January 2009; 6-8 February 2009; 20-22 February 2009; 6-8 March 2009. The elegant, air-conditioned Garden Room Restaurant was refurbished in January 2008. It offers a fine choice of international cuisine complemented by an extensive wine list and friendly and professional service.
Directions
By Car:
From Birmingham:
- From the M42, take the M40 towards London and Warwick, exiting at junction 15.
- Take the 5th exit from the roundabout, signposted for Stratford.
- At the next roundabout, take the 1st exit and continue on the A439 for 8 km (5 miles) to the town centre.
- Enter the one-way system and stay on the right.
- Continue around, bearing right until after the 2nd pedestrian crossing with a HSS shop on the left.
- Bear to the left hand lane. The hotel is 90 metres (100 yards) on the left.
From London:
- From the M25 exit at junction 16. This joins the M40. Stay on the M40 until junction 15.
- Take the 2nd exit from the roundabout, signposted for Stratford.
- Follow directions outlined above (from step 3).
